May 2, 2016This past Sixth Saturday in Lent, Saturday, April 23 / April 10, 2016 (Lazarus Saturday) Fr. Lazar (Bubjanko) was ordained to the Holy Diaconate during the Divine Liturgy by Metropolitan John. On the following day, Palm Sunday, April 24 / April 10, 2016, Fr. Lazar was ordained to the Holy Priesthood by Metropolitan John. Fr. Hieromonk Lazar serves a small hermitage (Elevation of the Triumphant Cross) in Wellend, Ontario, Canada, and functions in a stavropeigal capacity under the Metropolitan.
